• Great news from Topeka! The Kansas House and Senate passed a funding bill with bipartisan support -- to equitably fund Kansas school districts according to our state constitution. And with Gov. Brownback's signature, Kansas schools will remain open on July 1!

  • Thanks for being flexible during summer office hours! Monday through Thursday, offices are open to the public during regular hours -- 7:30 to 4 p.m. at the schools and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the district office. All offices are closed on Fridays. School offices will close from late June until late July, but the district office will remain open all summer.

Emergency Safety Interventions (ESI)

  • In February 2013 the Kansas State Board of Education passed regulations on the use of Emergency Safety Interventions (seclusion and restraint) for all students enrolled in Kansas public schools.

    • Emergency: Immediate danger
    • Safety: Immediate danger of student harming self or others
    • Intervention: Restraint or seclusion is used for limited periods of time and ceases immediately when the immediate danger of harm to self or others has dissipated.
