- Senior Questionnaire. Counseling staff will meet with each senior individually at least once each semester. Information you provide in this questionnaire will be used to guide you in your post-graduation plans
- Senior/Parent Letter with Deadlines for the year.
- Senior Timeline- 1st Semester. Seniors, let's get your final year of high school off to a good start! Take a look at this timeline and make sure you're taking care of business.
- Transcript Request Form. Current EHS students can complete this form if you need your EHS transcript sent to a college or training program. EHS Alumni should use the Transcript Request Form in Alumni tools
- College Day Request Form. Each senior is allowed 2 college visit days. The specifics of requesting and taking a college day are outlined in the EHS student handbook. College Days must be approved at least 48 hours before a college day is to be taken.
- All seniors planning to attend college in the fall should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after Jan. 1 of their senior year in high school. Most colleges require this form to be completed even if you don't intend to accept financial aid.
- Senior Enrollment Form. This enrollment form will be completed in the spring semester of a student's junior year.
- College comparison tool. Use this tool to evaluate the pros and cons of the colleges and universities you are considering.
Scholarship Information: Each year, many dollars are given to students in the form of scholarships. Some of these scholarships are given directly through universities, many of which have deadlines as early as November 1st. Check the university's website to find out early scholarship deadlines for universities you are interested in. Also, each spring during the month of March, students can complete the EHS Local Scholarship Application to compete for local scholarships. This scholarship application is due to the Cardinal Career Center by May 1st, and the recipients will be notified at the Senior Awards Ceremony.

US Bank Internet Scholarship Program. 30-$1,000 scholarships awarded in random drawing. Apply through Feb. 2009 online.
University of Missouri College of Business has multiple scholarships for students pursuing degrees in business areas. Stop by the Career Center for an info brochure or visit the site.
The Athletic Training program at Coffeyville Community College is looking for students who have an interest in sports and/or medicine (nursing, pre-med, EMT, Physical Therapy, etc.). They have several scholarships to offer students-books, tuition, room and board, for around $1,500 a semester. Stop by the Career for more information or visit the web site.
Discover Colleges-provides free private college information. Log on to the web site to request information and automatically be entered in the $2,500 scholarship drawing!
The Christian Connector provides free Christian college information. Log on to the web site to request information and automatically be entered in the $2,500 scholarship drawing!
Wichita State University Engineering Scholarships. Apps due October 31. To compete in the Engineering Scholarship Competition Nov. 14, submit an admissions app and transcript to WSU by October 1..
Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Programs. Apply between Aug. 1 and Oct. 30.
Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation scholarships. Click on "Coca-Cola Four Year Award for Seniors. Deadline is October 31.
Toyota Community Scholars. 3.0 GPA, active school or community service projects, plan to pursue an undergraduate degree at a four year college or university. See Mr. Walrod by Nov. 17. EHS may nominate only ONE student by December 1.
KU Freshman Scholarships-Priority deadline for admissions app and scholarship app is November 1. Students who have a 3.25 unweighted GPA and a 26 ACT or higher, who submit a complete application by the priority date, will automatically receive, at minimum, a $1,000 nonrenewable scholarship. Final scholarship deadline is December 1.
K-State Freshman Scholarships--Application Deadline is November 1 for all academic based scholarships.
Washburn Garvey Competitive Scholarship Exam. 3.25 GPA. Must register by Nov. 12 for the Nov. 22 or Dec. 6 Test Date. List of requirements, info, and registration online.
2009 American Civil Liberties Union Youth Activist Scholarship. Sponsored by the ACLU. See contest information and details at the above link. Deadline is November 21. The will be a Scholarship Program Workshop on Wednesday, October 15 in KS, MO. Registration can be completed at the above link as well.
First Freedom Student Competition. National essay contest offering 9-12 grade students an opportunity to compete for awards as they examine the history, current importance and relevance of religious freedom in their lives. Guidelines and registration online. Deadline is November 24.
SAE 2009 Engineering Scholarships! Apply online September 1 through December 1.
KU Visual Arts Freshman Scholarships. Must be admitted to the School of Fine Arts by Dec. 1. Stop by the Career Center for app info or visit the site.
"Being an American" Essay Contest. Apply between now and December 1. Rules, info, and packet is available at the above link.
6-Radio/TV-Music Industry Scholarships worth over $87,000 are available from THE CONCLAVE. Apps and info located here or here.
KS Elks Association Most Valuable Student Scholarship program. The state of KS picks two boy and two girls to send to the national caompetition. These four are guaranteed $4,000 ($1000 for four years). There are many additional awards given. This is a very lengthy app process so start early!! Stop by the Career center now to pick up an app or visit the site. Due date to a local Elks Lodege is January 11.
KFC Colonel's Scholars Scholarships. Apply online between December 1 and February 10.
KS Dept. of Education and KS Highway Patrol---KS School Safety Hotline Scholarship Contest. Three scholarships in the following areas: 30-second public service announcement for TV, 30-second public service announcement for radio, and 11 X 17 poster. Full contest rules and entry forms are available at the above link. Deadline is December 15.
AXA Foundation Scholarships. Deadline is December 15.
K-State Civic Leadership Scholarship--Deadline is December 15.
Colby Community College Presidential Scholarship. EHS may nominate one student. 3.0 GPA and 21 or higher on ACT required. See Mr. Walrod by Christmas break if you are interested in being nominated.
2009 Gates Millennium Scholars Program. Diversity Scholarship. Deadline is January 12, 2009.
ESA (Epsilon Sigma Alpha) Foundation Scholarship. Due to the Career Center by January 25. Lots of Documents required so start early. Stop by the Career Center for an app packet or visit the web site.
KU Hixson Opportunity Award. This award was established to provide the opportunity for KS residents to attend KU who would otherwise not be able to because of financial restrictions or other personal hardships. There will be 10-$5,000 scholarships awarded for the 2009-10 academic year, renewable for four years. Stop by the Career Center for am app packet or visit online. Deadline is February 1.
PSU Honors College. Selection and Scholarship apps are due by February 1. 28 ACT and 3.5 GPA required to apply. Apps available online.
Multicultural Leadership Scholarship at Missouri State University. Deadline to apply is February 1.
Vocational Education Scholarship from the Kansas Board of Regents. Test registration date is Feb. 6 for the March 7 test dates. Stop by the Career Center for an application packet or go the the web site linked above.
Butler Community College Humanities/Fine Arts audition/interview dates are Feb. 7 or March 6 (only day for visual arts). Schedule, registration, and requirements in the Career Center.
Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarship program. For seniors working for Hy-Vee or parents who work for Hy-Vee. Deadline to apply is February 10, 2009. See info under 'company info' on web site. See Mr. Walrod with ??'s
2009 Girls Going Places Entrepreneurship Award Program. Granting $1,000 to $10, 000 to entrepreneurial and community-minded teen girls. Visit the site for info and registration. Runs Sept. 2008 through Feb. 27, 2009.

Theatre @ Allen. Allen Community College's Theatre Dept. wants students to know about the experience you gain, the preparation they provide to go on to a 4-year university, the training you receive and the scholarships available. Kansas State University Women's Rowing Team is interested in offering Division I scholarship opportunities. If you are interested, please fill out an online profile. No experience is necessary to earn a first-year scholarship! Height is an advantage in this sport, if you are 5'10 or taller, you will be given preference!
The Kansas Masonic Foundation Student Loan and Scholarship Program-Apply online or stop by the CCC for a brochure for more information.
The National CO-OP Scholarship Program has 185 scholarships totaling $4,500,000. Website lists the 10 NCEE Partner Colleges and application.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln J.D. Edwards Honors Program nominations being accepted. Typical students nominated possess these characteristics: a composite ACT score of 30 or higher, class rank of 95% or better, proven leadership skills and initiative, interest in business and technology. Cappex Scholarships- In all, 26 scholarships in 14 categories will be awarded. There are scholarships for students headed to the top 10 most popular majors. Our "GPA Isn't Everything" scholarship places an emphasis on activities over grades. Cappex is also giving away airline vouchers so students can visit potential schools with our College Tour Travel Scholarships.
