Auditions for "Platinum in Hollywood, JR. : 2010" are coming soon! Hints for a successful audition: 1. Pick a piece of music that you like that is upbeat, entertaining, and available in sheet music form in the right key for your voice. Make sure your choice fits in with the theme of the show. This year all music must be from a movie soundtrack (any genre, any year). 2. Search for the sheet music online or on the pop lists of the Eudora Choral Music Library and order it or check it out from the library. Make sure you order it early so you will have time to learn it in the right key. You may also wish to order the karaoke CDs online to help you practice. Online music sources: In Lenexa: JW Pepper Store 3. Be ready for your audition! You may audition either with the karaoke track (on your ipod or disc) or with live accompaniment. No a cappella auditions are allowed unless the original music is a cappella (without accompaniment). You may either bring your own accompaniment (band members, pianist, etc) or ask Mrs. Renfro to play for you. If you would like to ask Mrs. Renfro, do so at least one week prior to auditions with music in hand. Set up a minimum of one rehearsal with her prior to auditions. 4. Bring 2 copies of your sheet music to your audition and your ipod or disc if you will be singing with karaoke. 5. Break-a-leg!
