Teacher of the Month: Rachel Padfield

Congratulations to Rachel Padfield, Eudora Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Month for February! Mrs. Padfield teaches special education students in grades six through eight at Eudora Middle School and coaches high school softball and middle school volleyball.
"The most rewarding thing about my career," she said, "is seeing the kids succeed in the classroom and on the field, especially when they put so much effort in and get the results in return."
Mrs. Padfield is a member of the eighth grade collaborative team and a mentor to new special education staff members. She also participates on the student improvement team. Her professional goals include completing a master's degree and continuing her work with students and colleagues.
Mrs. Padfield has taught for ten years, four of which have been in Eudora. She and husband Mark have two children, four-year-old Sydney and one-year-old Aubrey. She is the daughter of Bernie and Michelle Rockers of Scipio, Kan.
