Teacher of the Month: Peggy Johnson
Friday, March 28, 2009
Congratulations to Peggy Johnson, Eudora Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Month for March! Mrs. Johnson teaches third grade at Eudora West Elementary School.
"The most rewarding thing about my career," she said, "is nurturing — seeing student growth and bonding with students." She also said she draws great satisfaction from "working along side wonderful educators and staff."
Mrs. Johnson serves on the West student and school improvement teams and is a member of the language arts subject area committee for curriculum writing. She has taught for six years, four of which have been in Eudora.
Her professional goals include continuing to serve the Eudora district's students and families and continuing her own education. She is married to Mark Johnson and has two daughters, Mary and Allie. She is the daughter of Peggy Lupisan of San Diego, Calif.
