Yet another Eudora High School student has qualified for the state speech championships in May. Senior Brian Talbert finished third in prose interpretation and qualified for the state contest at the Spring Hill Forensics Tournament on April 5. He also went to the finals in serious solo acting and took fifth place.
Talbert will join the other EHS students who already have qualified. Most recently, the team of junior Rebecca Dreifuss and senior Mai Nguyen qualified for the improvised duet acting competition, and sophomore Katie Donner won a spot in prose interpretation. Earlier in the season, junior Kyle Swanson and freshman Hawley Montgomery qualified to attend state in the improvised duet acting category. Dreifuss also has qualified to compete in the humorous solo competition.
