Choral Staff & Officers

Angela Zysk is in tenth year as Director of Choirs and Musical Theatre for Eudora Middle and High Schools. During her tenure, the choral department has grown from 45 singers in three choirs to 250 singers in six superior-rated ensembles.

In 2007, she was named the Kansas Choral Director's Association Young Director of the Year for her outstanding contributions to the choral art. She has a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Choral Pedagogy, both from KU.

Mrs. Zysk is an active clinician, sharing her unique and eclectic teaching methods with choirs and teachers. Mrs. Z serves on the board for the Kansas Choral Director's Association as membership chair. She is a member of the American Choral Director's Association and the National Association for Music Education (MENC). She and her husband, Don, are the proud parents of two girls, Ella and Mia, and two dogs, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

Cynthia Renfro, Choral Assistant & Accompanist

Cynthia Renfro is in her sixth year as choral assistant and accompanist at Eudora Middle and High Schools. Her talent for playing, composing, and arranging bring a level of professionalism and creativity to the department.

Mrs. Renfro has been working in the greater Kansas City area since 1996 as a concert accompanist, theatrical music director, and as of late, composer and arranger. She is the pianist for Lexexa Baptist Church and maintains a private studio for lessons.

A native of Marietta, Georgia, she received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Mercer University in Atlanta, graduating with honors. Mrs. Renfro's graduate work includes private study with Dr. Kerry Lewis or Georgia State University and Dr. Maurice Hinson of Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She is the proud mother of three-college aged children and wife to Tom.
