Make-up Work

Extra Credit

Concert Attendance where you are an audience member (elementary concerts, band concerts, community/church performances, musicals, pop culture concerts) = turn in a program with your name on it and attach a paragraph describing what you learned by attending.  20 points per event.

Kleenex boxes = 5 points each

Email Platinum or Concert Song Ideas to Mrs. Z= one point per title

Watch choirs on YouTube and evaluate performances using worksheet = five points per song

Make-up Work

The need to make-up work is discouraged.  Do your absolute best to be at all rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances.  Repeated absences from performances will not be granted make-up work automatically and may result in your assignment to another choir or class entirely.

Download "Make-up for Excused Absence from Performance" here.

Do

Daily Rehearsals

Absences from class can be made up if they are marked as excused or SRA (school-related activity) with the Front Office.  Occasional absences will not greatly harm your grade, even with zero points awarded. However, if you have missed multiple days, you should make-up the points. If you miss a quiz, you will need to schedule a time before or after school to take the quiz.  One day=fifteen points, except for special point opportunity days.

Daily points may be made up by completing extra practice at home and recording it on your Home Practice LOG.

Dress Rehearsals and Performances

All choral rehearsals, concerts and dress rehearsals are required as described in the choral handbook.  Make-up work is only allowed if the absence has been approved by the director.  See above to download make-up work.
