About Eudora Schools: District news

Teacher of the Month Beth Zimmerman

Teacher of the Month: Beth Zimmerman

Friday, Sept. 19, 2008

Congratulations to Beth Zimmerman, Eudora Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Month for September! Mrs. Zimmerman teaches eighth grade keyboarding and computer applications at Eudora Middle School. She has taught for a total of eight years and is beginning her sixth year in Eudora.

"The most rewarding thing about teaching is being able to come to work every day and work with such great kids and coworkers," she said. "I love interacting with the students and seeing them succeed in my class."

Her professional aspirations include getting her master's degree in technology and finding more ways to implement various character education traits into her classroom.

Mrs. Zimmerman is co-sponsor of FCA and serves as treasurer of the Eudora National Education Association. She and husband Steve have two sons, seven-year-old Caleb and two-year-old Jacob. She is the daughter of Richard and Linda Maris, of White Cloud, Kan.
