Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008
Eleven Eudora High School students were among more than 200 area seniors recognized this week as part of the Kansas Honors Program, sponsored by the Kansas University Alumni and Endowment associations. The students represented the top 10 percent of their classes.
Those recognized from Eudora were Chase Brecheisen, Ashley Burner, Haley Epperson, Elizabeth Hoese, Kenneth Hughes, Courtney Johnson, JoAnna Male, Marian Mersmann, Breaer Miller, Rachel Pyle and Mariah Webb.
The program, which began in 1971, recognizes more than 3,500 Kansas high school seniors each year with the presentation of an American Heritage Dictionary in hardback and CD versions.
