Teacher of the Month: Nicole Ramirez

Congratulations to Nicole Ramirez, Eudora Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Month for April! Mrs. Ramirez is an occupational therapist at Eudora West Early Childhood Family Center. She has worked in her profession for 10 years, five of them in Eudora.
"The most rewarding thing about my job," she said, "is bringing collaboration of great teachers and support staff together to design tools, strategies and programs to help our students be their best and get them excited by their learning."
Ramirez helped facilitate the district's adoption and implementation of the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum in 2007. Her professional goals include "connecting students with the skills they need to do the tasks that are meaningful to them."
Ramirez and husband Jonathan Wilke have two daughters, ages three and six. She is the daughter of Marty and Frances Ramirez of Lebo, Kan.
