It's Kindergarten Roundup time!
Wednesday, March 28, 2012
Saddle up, pardners! Kindergarten Roundup is coming for all students entering kindergarten in August 2012. The parent meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 19. Child screenings will take place by appointment on April 26 and 27. All activities will be held at Eudora Elementary School.
Eudora Elementary School leaders stressed that it's important for parents of each eligible child to attend the parent meeting, even if there are older siblings in the district and parents have attended before. There is new or different information each year, and screening appointments are scheduled during the parent session.
Discussion also will include information about enrollment, vaccinations, fees, transportation and more.
Attending Kindergarten Roundup does not obligate a child to attend in the fall. It is, however, an opportunity for families to understand the kindergarten program and evaluate a child's skills and developmental milestones so that the decision to begin kindergarten can be made based on useful information.
