Eudora Schools State Report Card Information
Eudora Schools students and staff are celebrating 14 Standards of Excellence awarded by the Kansas State Department of Education. Schools achieve the Standard of Excellence when a larger percentage of the students score in higher performance categories and fewer score in the lower tiers. Eudora Schools received the award for math in the third, fourth, and eighth grades and for reading in the third, fourth, seventh, and eighth grades.
Building-level Standards of Excellence were awarded in reading and math at Eudora High School, in reading at Eudora Middle School, and in reading, math, science, and writing at Eudora West Elementary School. Nottingham Elementary School received building recognition in reading and math based on the performance of third grade students since primary grades do not take state assessments.
Science and writing were also assessed at various grade levels in 2008-2009. Across the district, 95.4% of the tested students were in the met standards and above categories. Writing was a new test, and 80.3% of the tested students met standards and above.
The Kansas State Department of Education annually produces information about districts through a report card process. Report cards provide information about district demographics and Kansas State Assessment results. This information can be accessed on the KSDE website at http://online.ksde.org/rcard/.

Leaving school during
school hours
Students may be dismissed during school hours to meet a medical or
dental appointment, or for personal reasons of the parent. To
safeguard your child, requests for dismissal must be by phone or in
writing and submitted to the principal. If possible, send this
request to the office one day in advance. All students must check
out through the main office before leaving the school
grounds.
