Career Center staff

Take a moment to get to know the staff who make up the Cardinal Career Center and the services provided to EHS students and graduates.

Paul A. Walrod is the EHS Counselor. He assists the students at EHS in any way he can. He received an associate of arts degree from Fort Scott Community College, and both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Pittsburg State University. He also has his Administration Licensure through Baker University.

This is his nineteenth year in education and his eighth year in counseling here at EHS. He is also the advisor for EHS Student Council. He is married with six children: Loryn (and her husband Andrew), Landon, Jamison, Jintry, Simon & Sami. With this list, you can tell he stays BUSY! But, not too busy for the students at EHS!!

Theresa Abel is the Career Center Coordinator and Registrar at Eudora High School. She graduated from EHS in 1984 and from Allen County Community College the following year, where she received a secretarial/business certification. She began working at Eudora High School in 2008 as the attendance secretary before making the move to the Career Center in the fall of 2009.

She has lived in Eudora since she was 2. She and her husband, Chris (an EHS alumni), have two sons, Mark and Matthew, who both graduated from EHS; a daughter, Katelyn, who is a senior at EHS; a daughter-in-law, Jodi, who also graduated from Eudora High; and a granddaughter, Hannah.

She enjoys watching any activities or sports her kids are involved in, and she loves working with students and their parents, so stop by the Career Center and say hi!
