Mr. Knight

   Mr. Mac Knight is currently in his fifth year as Director of Bands in the Eudora School District.  Mr. Knight's classes include:

Mr. Knight is also the director of the before school EES 5th Grade Band and the after school  Eudora Jazz Band.

Education:    Kansas State University, B.M.E.

    Mr. Knight graduated from Kansas State University in May of 2005.  At K-State, Mr. Knight was a member of many performing ensembles including Symphony Band, Concert Band, University Band, Marching Band (The Pride of Wildcat Land,) Basketball Pep Band, Volleyball Pep Band, Aggieville Pub Crawl Band, Jazz Lab Band, Orchestra, Clarinet Choir, Collegium Musicum and Quint Pro Quo (student woodwind quintet.)  Mr. Knight studied clarinet, bass clarinet and saxophone with Dr. Tod Kerstetter.  He was also an active member and officer of several organizations including the Tau chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity (Assistant Fraternal Education Officer, Treasurer and Vice President,) the K-State chapter of CMENC (Vice President and Statewide President) and K-State Band Ambassadors.  Mr. Knight is professionally associated with KMEA, MENC, NEA and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Personal Info:    Mr. Knight is happily married to Mrs. Kristen Knight.  Mrs. Knight is in her second year as an elementary music teacher at Eudora Elementary School and West Early Childhood Center in Eudora.  Mr. and Mrs. Knight are expecting their first child in March.  

Mr. Knight was born a Wildcat in Manhattan, KS and graduated from Manhattan High School.  He has a younger brother who lives and works in Manhattan.  His parents also live in Manhattan; his mother works for a farm lending firm and his dad is a professor of psychology at KSU.
