Cyberbullying program aimed at parents

Parents and others can learn about social media and cell phone safety during an upcoming program about cyberbullying, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the Eudora Middle School library. Participation is free and open to the public; Children age 13 and older are welcome to attend with a parent.
The program will feature a presentation by Dean Brown, a detective with the Lawrence Police Department. Topics will include current cyberspace trends, as well as what parents can do to help detect, prevent and protect children from cyberbullying. School staff members will be available to share information from the school perspective, and time will be provided for parent questions.
