For Parents

Walk to School Day

Parents and Eudora Schools

The relationship between our schools and the parents, grandparents and families of our students, is critical to a quality educational environment. With numerous leadership and involvement opportunities for families of Eudora Schools students, parents, guardians and grandparents are encouraged to take an active role in the education of the young people in their lives.

SPECIAL NOTICE to parents: Click here to read about the Board of Education's January 2010 decision to discontinue enrichment field trips.

Leadership opportunities for parents are available in a variety of roles. For more information about getting involved with any of these groups, contact your child's school office.

  • A site council is in place at each of the district's schools. This is a group, led by the building principal, of a few parents and school staff members dedicated to ensuring an all-around quality educational experience for students.
  • Elementary school parents are encouraged to serve in the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) as a way to help bring about enhancements to the facilities and programs that affect their children each day. Click here to visit the PTO Web site!
  • Parents organize a booster club for students at both Eudora Middle School and Eudora High School. This group supports the students who are involved with school activities and athletics.
  • The Cardinal 12th Man Club is a parent and community group designed specifically to support the EHS varsity football program. The Cardinal Diamond Club is made up of parents and community members to support the EHS baseball and softball teams.
