Mrs. Swanson's First Grade

|
We are flying high through the 3rd quarter! Your first grader is turning the corner towards second grade and we are doing all we can to make sure we are prepared for that next challenge. Dr. Seuss is on the loose! Check out EES’s door décor as we celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday. After spring break we will begin our Living Things and US History units. Hopefully, our spring weather will cooperate. It is so much better to study plants and animals outdoors! The first weeks of fourth quarter are dedicated to reading and building various types of graphs. Important vocabulary for this unit includes the terms maximum value and minimum value. As always, we will continue to strengthen our math fact and reading fluency. We are entering our sixth and final month of the Gambino’s Reading Challenge! Parents, please check your child's Gambino’s Outstanding Reader reading log page to see his or her goal for the month. Once the goal is met, a coupon for a personal pan pizza from Gambino’s will be awarded. |
