Mrs. Greenwood

Hello, welcome to first-grade! My name is Mikenzie Greenwood and I am thrilled to begin my first year of teaching in the Eudora School District. Many people talk highly of the community so I am excited to grow in a positive learning environment! I grew up down the road in Lawrence (Rock Chalk!), attended Highland Community College, graduating with an Associates of Arts degree then received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Emporia State University. While I attended HCC and ESU, I was fortunate enough to play softball and make unforgettable memories with life long friends.

I married in June of this year to my high school sweetheart, Cole. Cole played football and graduated from Ottawa University with a bachelor’s in Sport Studies. We do not have children but have a vibrant, young puppy, Leia, that keeps my husband and I very busy. We love watching movies and sporting events, making DIY projects, and spending time outdoors.

As an educator, I strive to look at children as a whole rather than solely focusing on academics. We will work every day to build strong, positive relationships and grow in our understanding of key life skills. I look forward to getting to know and work with you and your child. We are in this together!
