Mr. Ty Pattison
This is my 23rd year in education. I have been in the Eudora School District for all 23 years. I started as a high school special education instructor and coach at Eudora High School. I also served as the administrator of the WEBS Program for four years which is the therapeutic/behavioral program housed in Eudora. It is a program that is part of the East Central Kansas Cooperative in Education. EMS is a special place and I am so happy to be a part of the EMS Family.
When I first decided to go into education, I wanted career involved in coaching. I always wanted to be a football coach. I knew from the beginning I was going to go into education. I decided to become a physical education teacher. After taking several classes in the Health Physical Education Recreation concentration, I was advised to get another subject area major. I took a PE class called Special Populations, which involved working with children with special needs in the swimming pool. I really enjoyed that class and realized what my other concentration would be.
I am married to my wife Janna and have two daughters, Maya and Reese. Janna and I have been married for 22 years. Maya will be a freshamn at Washburn University and Reese will be a sophomore at Eudora High School. Janna is employed as a Senior Vice President, NA Health at Ipsos Healthcare.
I grew up in Council Grove, Kansas where my parents still live today. That is where I learned to hunt and fish, which I still love to do. My favorite hunting season is spring turkey.
I went to Emporia State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Special Education. I also earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Emporia State University.
Eudora is a great community and I am very proud to be a part of Eudora Schools!
