Welcome to Health Careers II and III. My nursing experience started in 1998 as a licensed practical nurse in long term care facilities.  In 2003 I obtained my associates degree in nursing from Neosho County Community College and my bachelors degree in 2014 from KU.  I began my career here, in the district, as the District Nurse from 2007 to 2018 and added teaching Certified Nurses Aide and Certified Medication Aide in 2008. In 2018 I was given the oppurtunity to teach more and have found that teaching health career courses is the best of both worlds- teaching and nursing.  I am looking forward to working with the students this year.
