Profe. Brown

Bienvenidos! My name is Mariah Brown, I am a first year Spanish teacher at Eudora Middle and Elementary School. I obtained my Bachelors of Arts in Latin American Studies with a minor in International Studies from the University of Kansas, after previously attending Northwest Missouri State University for two years. I am currently working towards my Masters in Education at Fort Hays State University. During my time at KU I was able to study abroad twice: once in Honduras for six weeks, with a group of 10 people studying an indigenous language, and once in Nicaragua, where I traveled alone for three weeks to better my Spanish. I am excited to include some cultural elements from those trips in my classroom! To say I am grateful to teach at Eudora Schools is such an understatement! Having graduated from Eudora, looking back I am so happy I grew up here. It truly is the perfect mix of a small town, with a strong, supportive community. To be able to be an active part of the community who helped me grow into who I am today is so special to me, and I don't take that for granted. Although this year will be strange and unpredictable, I cannot wait for school to start and be able to work with the students this year!
