Degrees and Certifications:
This is my first year teaching, but I have a very interesting background with lots of life experiences. I had a prior career in Law Enforcement-1995-2004 (Lancaster County-Lincoln, NE), then went back to school to get my Nursing degree. I've worked in the ICU, Med Surg, Labor & Deliver, School Nursing, and I'm still currently in the ER. I have Bachelor's Degrees in Sociology-1994 (Nebraska Wesleyan) and Nursing-2007 (Arizona State University), and will begin my Masters Degree this fall in Nursing Education (Pitt State). I'm originally from Nebraska, (so yes, I'm a Cornhusker fan), but I married into Kansas over 11 years ago. My husband is a K-Stater (Wildcat), and our oldest goes to Iowa State (Cyclone), so we are a house divided many ways. I also have 3 kids in elementary school. I am super excited to come to EHS and share my experiences and knowledge, and hopefully get my students interested in pursuing health careers for their own future career choice. I'm ready to have fun, learn a lot from all of you, and have an awesome "rookie" year of teaching!
