Dear EHS Parents,
This year has provided many challenges for our students, teachers, and families. Fortunately, the district has given our building the opportunity to provide summer support and credit recovery for our students. The Summer Academy at Eudora High School will provide on-site educational teaching support in core academic courses where students are currently behind with required credits. Students invited to attend the summer program will come to school to work with current EHS building staff members.
The Summer Academy will be offered the weeks of June 7th, June 14th, and June 21st; Monday through Thursday from 8:00am until 12:00 noon. Students will check into their assigned EHS home room, where attendance and progress monitoring will occur. In order to obtain credit for a course, it must be fully completed. In-person attendance will be expected daily.
District transportation options similar to the regular school schedule will be made available to students who are invited to attend this program. However, those families that elect to transport their child are certainly welcome to do so or allow their licensed student to drive and park at school. Students who live in close proximity would also be able to walk if that is what the family prefers.
If you know your student is in need of credits, parents are invited to schedule their student to attend the Summer Academy. Students failing to participate and/or earn credit during Summer Academy may be required to attend Saturday school during the fall semester.
Please use this electronic form to submit your information to the school no later than Friday, May 14th.
If you have questions, please contact Eudora High School.
Sincerely in Education,
The Mission of Eudora High School is to work with the community to assure all students an education emphasizing skills for learning. All students will learn in an orderly and supportive environment that promotes responsibility and integrity while encouraging the pursuit of lifelong learning.
