EMS Communication 10/12/20
Dear EMS Families,
I hope everyone is having a great start to the week. I wanted to reach out and provide some details about how this week will look.
First, we do not have school on Friday. This is a scheduled day off and the building will be closed. Remote families we ask that you pick up your packets on Thursday afternoon or Monday morning. With us having a 4 day week, that means we will not have a remote Wednesday. All in-person students will be in the building all four days. We will also have this same schedule with no remote Wednesdays for the following dates below:
- Wednesday, October 28th
- Wednesday, November 4th
- Wednesday, November 11th
On Thursday evening from 4pm-8pm, we will have an early conference for Remote Families only. The grade level teachers should be emailing you a signup genius link that allows you to reserve a time with teachers. This will all be done remotely and the links will be provided by the teachers. We encourage all remote families to join so we can discuss the progress of your child and ways we can better support them. Below are the links for the grade levels that Remote Families can join.
7th Grade: there are two links that the teachers sent out. Please check your for an email from Mr. Jacobs.
Also, we would like to remind all families of our arrival and dismissal procedures for leaving the parking lot. The south exit is for right turns ONLY and that is the right lane.. The left lane is for school district vehicles only and they are the only vehicles that are allowed to turn left. We have seen some families try to go out these exits and turn left. Sometimes vehicles in both lanes are trying to turn left at the same time. This has almost created multiple accidents and we just ask that all families follow the proper procedures for entering and leaving our parking lot. It is not just a safety concern but important to model to our students that we all should follow school procedures. Thank you for your support in keeping our students safe.
I hope everyone has a great week.
